There are several options for you to find great car insurance, something I am sure most of us are quite familiar with at this point. I can honestly say that car insurance isn’t a bill that I look forward to paying (who is?) but that is only due to the fact that I can’t help but feel that I am being taken advantage of whenever I have to deal with them. I really dislike the fact that I am forced to pay more because of the type of car I drive; my car insurance rates shouldn’t go up simply because of the color of my car or the type of car that I drive. It’s silly to think that either of those things will make me a worse driver than the next guy who might be driving a family Sedan or some such. What if I am a better driver than he is, does that mean he is going to be paying more than me?
There are a lot of factors that go into calculating the final cost of your insurance which include a fair amount of what seems to be absurd nuances like the model of a car, how many doors a car has, the color of the car, your gender and age. Much of what goes into this formula seems, to me, to be archaic at best. There are many factors that you should consider when deciding how much insurance will cost but none of those that I have listed should even be included into the formula. Your driving record needs to be the number one priority to calculate your cost per month and while I can see age being a factor, it does not mean that a young individual is a better or worse driver than say, a sixty year old.
